The EMD series monitoring relays fulfill a variety of monitoring tasks in process, plant and power engineering. The monitoring modules are available for monitoring currents (0 ... 10 A AC/DC), single-phase voltages (0 ... 300 V AC/DC) and three-phase voltages (230 V, 400 V, 500 V, 690 V).In addition, modules are available for effective power monitoring and phase monitoring such as phase sequence, phase failure and asymmetry as well as for monitoring the motor winding temperature (max. 6 PTCs) and the load (cos φ).

Devices with input ranges of 0...100 mA to 0...10 A DC/AC are available for monitoring undercurrent/overcurrent or the window function. Parameters such as hysteresis, dropout delay or starting override can be set.

The phase sequence monitoring can monitor 400 V/230 V AC DC voltage (50/60 Hz, with or without N) for phase sequence, phase drop out and asymmetry.. A feedback detection has also been implemented.
