Process Interface PI
PI provides an innovative solution for intrinsically safe circuits with pluggable electronic modules and a basic terminal block (base element) in just 12.4 millimeters. The advantage: The electronic module houses the functions and not the basic terminal block.
Analog IN
Input isolating amplifier and repeater power supply transmit intrinsically safe 4 mA ... 20 mA signals to a load in the safe area. Repeater power supplies also supply the field devices. The HART signal can be transmitted.

Analog OUT
The output isolating amplifier is designed for the operation of I/P converters, control valves and displays in the Ex area. Transmission of HART signal is possible.

Digital IN
NAMUR switching amplifiers are used together with the intrinsically safe proximity indicators and switches which are located in the Ex area.

Digital OUT
Solenoid drivers connect switches (or voltage sources) that are installed in the safe area to intrinsically safe solenoid valves, alarm modules and other intrinsically safe devices that are located in the potentially explosive area.

Termperature transducers convert intrinsically safe temperature signals from resistance-type sensors (e.g. PT100) or thermocouples into standard signals.
